There were lots of suits on the catwalk for this SS11 and I am very glad to see that they are back… as a true “suit enthusiast” that I am ( if such a thing can be defined!).
They showed us Oriental lines, the new City-fari and the “Snoop Dog” look… the summer wardrobe had inspiration from sporty days to dressed-up nights, allowing the trendy gents to say goodbye to that guy’s-guy work manly standards outfit.
It’s fresh, inspiring, casual yet chic.
Some designers explored the twenties-era with bow ties of American school boys and collar-and-tie formality of the English gentleman, others ventured on the explorer look creating the new merged City-fari. This is a great new look by the way.
The SS11 wardrobe is perfect to suit a man on the move, with wrinkled shirts and crumpled suits.
Bonus point to Dunhill!
I am delighted… and I am sure you will be too:
